Twin Hearts Haitian Project
Twin Hearts is starting a knitting/crochet project for the victims of the earthquakes in Haiti.. Cara is donating a ton of yarn so that comforting blankets can be made. If you would like to be a part of this project here is how it works:
Come into the shop and pick out your yarn, you will be paying for the yarn upfront at a wholesale price and signing a commitment form for the project. When your blanket or squares are complete, bring it in to Twin Hearts and you will be given your money back for the cost of the yarn and Twin Hearts will have it shipped to Haiti.
If you would like to use a different yarn from the shop Cara will have you sign your commitment form to the project, and you will pay full price for the yarn you have chosen, when you bring the finished piece in, you will recieve your wholesale discount back ( half the original price of the yarn).
We will also have 8" squares (garter stitch) to work on in the shop if you feel like coming in to knit, these are not to be taken out of the shop but set up for people to donate their time.
If you would like to donate squares of your own please make them 8" squares in a dk weight.
Any money donated for the shipping of these goods would also be appreciated.
Lets make this happen and bring comfort to the people of Haiti!
